My sister gave birth to an 8 lb. 9 oz. baby boy at 6:01 pm on Sunday via C-Section. They've named him Connor Andrew and Mamma and baby are both doing very well. I'm heading down this weekend to see them. Tyler is very excited about being a big brother! So, this weekend will be taken up with cooing over the baby and beta-ing a story for SGA Big Bang. I can't wait!! :)
Woohoo!! I just got my first unqualified approval of my variance reports at work!! My boss had NO comments or corrections! Not even a typo!! I'm so happy!!!
Variance Analysis is probably the most challenging part of my job and I've been making a concerted effort to improve in this area. I used to get a *ton* of comments back. Things I needed to correct or expand upon. I've been getting fewer recently, but this is the FIRST TIME EVER that she simply approved them as they were!! (I really really wish I could run and dance and shout with glee right now, but I'm not sure my boss would like that too much!!)
(And I really need a great celebratory icon... why don't I have one of those???)

Went camping and four-wheeling for the weekend. Had a good time. Not too hot and clear weather. Until Saturday afternoon that is... It started raining around 5 or so, I think. And didn't stop until around 11 am Sunday. Everything in the tent was wet and we had a bit of a swimming pool effect going on. Not fun. But still overall a good weekend. But I'm *really* sore today!

My oldest and closest friend honored me today by asking me to be godmother to her youngest child. We've been friends for nearly twenty years and while our lives have gone in very different directions, we've remained close. And she's been an absolute godsend lately with helping me get through some of the challenges I'm currently facing. I love you and thank you so much for this honor!!!

As of yesterday afternoon, I'm officially single again. The divorce hearing was relatively simple and straightforward and it only took a few minutes. I just have to wait for the official paperwork to arrive in the mail and then I can go about getting my name changed back.

Nothing terribly exiting going on in my life. Tommy started his new job on Monday; not much to say about it yet except the hours are really long. I'm going through a lot of stuff in therapy right now. Which means my emotions are kind of a mess, but it also means I'm making progress and I'm going to be doing much better when I come out on the other side!

Mar. 7th, 2008 07:54 amGood Morning. Aside from the fact that I'm *really* tired, I'm actually in a pretty good mood this morning so I thought it would be a good time to take a moment to update everyone on how I'm doing.
I've been really busy, stressed, overwhelmed and dealing with some emotional issues, but I'm doing better. So, no need to worry about me. :) Things are going better at work. I decided to quite my part-time job because I simply couldn't handle doing so much and I'm taking a sabbatical from my volunteer work. Tommy and I are doing well. He's just finishing up his second week at his new job and seems to be settling in well. Its not his ideal job, but its a job and a paycheck. We're finally unpacked and settled at the house at least to the point where it actually looks like we *live* there now. So that's good.
Not much else going on right now. Hope everyone is well.
